Grid over OBS/GMPLS is successfully demonstrated and a self-organized resource discovery and management scheme is proposed for consumer Grid. High-speed TCPs for Grid are experimentally compared.
MPLS extensions such as the wavelength label supporting 3R regenerators and BGP dissemination of wavelength reachability across domain boundaries were proposed. Resilient end-to-end lighpath provisioning was successfully achieved in GMPLS-controlled inter-domain transparent optical networks.
This presentation summarizes enabling technologies for all-optical networking in terms of overall network architecture, control and management plane and quality assurance. All-optical networking testbed demonstration indicates the effectiveness of these technologies from the view point of actual deployment and operation.
Dynamic protection mechanism was proposed to provision each individual LSP in a group LSP with differentiated survivability. A resilient multi-QoS burst streams transmission over the group LSP was demonstrated in a GMPLS-controlled transparent optical network.
This presentation summarizes all-optical networking testbed demonstration to verify the network architecture including control and management capabilities. Optical performance monitoring technology is also introduced from the operational point of view.
A centralized path computation element integrated with optical performance monitoring was developed for transparent optical network. Appropriate path establishment satisfying requisite transmission performance was successfully confirmed in the testbed.
Direct 10 GbE LANPHY transport over GMPLS-controlled multi-WDM rings interconnected by a WXC was firstly investigated using DWDM-colored interfaces with OTN framing on IP/MPLS routers. Full-wire-rate client signal transportation and OTN-based multi-ring management was successfully confirmed.
