A new design using a single peaking power amplifier to modify multi-way peaking power amplifiers to realize multi-way asymmetric Doherty structure is presented in this paper. Compared with three-way Doherty power amplifier(DPA), the proposed asymmetric DPA shows higher efficiency at output power back-off range in a wide frequency band. The measured drain efficiency of 55 ∼ 66% over 700 MHz at 6–8...
This study presents a novel impedance transformer that can realize a dual-band (i.e. dual-characteristic) arbitrary complex load matching which consists of two transmission lines and one coupled-line section. The theoretical analysis and the closed-form mathematical equations of the designed circuit parameters are completely described and solved. To demonstrate the proposed impedance matching performances,...
A novel three-way dual-band planar series-type power divider for different terminated impedances is proposed in this paper. The closed-form design equations and simulation verifications are given. This three-way power divider features short transmission paths, arbitrary dual-band or wide-band applications, simple circuit structure, different power-dividing ratios along with terminated impedances.
Based on a pair of stubs and a coupled-line section, an out-of-phase phase shifter for wide-band application is proposed in this paper. The typical electrical parameters and numerical verifications are presented. This proposed 180-degree phase shifter features single-layer PCB fabrication with complete ground, wide phase-shifting bandwidth, wide impedance-matching bandwidth, and a simple circuit structure.
