A novel design for a UMTS diplexer using dual-mode rectangular stripline-ring resonators is proposed. The diplexer comprises two parallel-oriented rectangular stripline-rings and a connecting line between them. The degenerate-mode resonance is used to form the diplexer's Tx and Rx-bands, and a method to improve the isolation is also proposed in this circuit design.
A new active slotline ring antenna using an FET is presented. A simple transmission line method was used to predict the resonance frequency of the FET active slotline ring antenna with good agreement. The active antenna radiated 21.6 mW with 18% efficiency at 7.7 GHz.<<ETX>>
