Multi-access stable radio frequency phase dissemination for 100 km fiber-optic loop link is achieved based on single optical source. Phase jitter of 2.4 GHz signal at the accessing node is reduced to 1.57 ps/1.76 ps.
A novel linear Radio-over-Fiber link with carrier-to-noise ratio (CNR) improvement by exploiting optical spectrum vector manipulation is proposed. Experimental results show CNR is improved by 19 dB compared to optical sideband phase shifted linear approach.
A coherent MODEM is implemented with FEC payload and checksum distributed between two PM-QPSK optical channels spaced at 200 GHz. Real-time experiments verify PDL and PMD penalties are 40-50% higher without FEC gain sharing.
