This paper presents theoretical investigations on the detuning between peak frequencies of spectra and delays of series-cascaded microring resonators, which is critical and important for optical delays.
Asymmetric transparent characteristics of parallel cascaded dual detuning microring resonators are investigated in forms of the center cavity detuning, the unbalanced coupling coefficients and the unbalanced loss of dual resonators.
We propose dual cascaded detuning cells of microring coupled-resonator optical waveguides to generate multiple all-optical analogue to electromagnetically induced transparency, which is promising for multi-channel all-optical delay lines.
