We recently demonstrated that it is possible to use optical phase conjugation as a means to time reverse the scattering of light through biological tissue ι. This newly observed phenomenon, termed turbidity suppression by optical phase conjugation (TSOPC), can potentially be adapted for numerous biophotonics applications, such as coherent deep optical imaging of tissue, enhanced light delivery for...
We recently implemented a digital optical phase conjugation mirror by combining a spatial light modulator and a digital holography system. This system provides us with additional flexibility in modifying the scattered wavefront for TSOPC transmission experiments. These results are discussed in detail in this presentation.
