Multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) have been synthesized on a carbon fiber paper (CFP) via a simple surface reaction of hydrocarbon decomposition using nickel nanoparticles as catalysts at 1023K. Pd nanoparticles supported on MWCNTs/CFP are used as electrocatalysts for ethanol electrooxidation in alkaline media. The results shows that the Pd/MWCNTs/CFP electrocatalyst gives higher reaction activity...
The field emission of individual multiwalled carbon nanotubes is studied using transmission electron microscope (TEM). A direct link between field emission and emitter structure and real work function at emitter tip is established. The result is modeled according to the Fowler-Nordheim equation
