This paper proposes and implements a parallel scheme of FP-growth algorithm and implements this parallel algorithm (PFP-growth algorithm). Experimental results show that, compared with FP-growth algorithm, PFP-growth algorithm is more efficient, and the larger the data set is, the lower the support threshold is, the more remarkable the speedup is.
Modular multilevel converters (MMC) are emerging to be an alternative approach for realizing power converters for a variety of high power applications because they allow series-cascaded levels and/or parallel-connected branches. However, the design of communication interface between system controller and individual modules became increasingly complicated as more modules been added into the system,...
This paper proposes a novel cluster-based geometrical dynamic stochastic model for multi-input and multi-output (MIMO) communication environments. It is assumed that the base station (BS) has an adaptive learning ability and the BS preprocesses the received data in advance. In the proposed channel model, scatterers can be clustered into different clusters based on a machine learning cluster algorithm...
The rapid development of information technology to bring convenience to people but also to the data and information security has brought great challenges, how to protect the data, safe communication is a popular research direction. In the paper, we propose a necessary and sufficient condition for constructing an invertible matrix on the finite field, which can produce a large number of reversible...
To establish data connection in industrial wireless networks, the engineer has to enter the address of the target machine or manually select it from a list. Since the machines are densely deployed in the plant, the manual data connection becomes a non-trivial issue which may lead to connection error and waste of time. The existing technologies, such as QR code scanning and proximity estimation, simplify...
UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) have been widely used in power line inspections, but low autonomous cruise capacity of UAVs requires strict condition for operators and site while landing during UAV power line inspections. This paper presents an autonomous landing control technique for UAVs when charging at the electric towers based on vision positioning method. The proposed system consists of three...
In order to realize autonomous landing of the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in power patrolling, a visual method vision based on Faster Regions with Convolutional Neural Network (Faster R-CNN) for UAVs is studied. In this paper, we design the landing sign of the combination of concentric circles and pentagon, and propose the Faster R-CNN recognition algorithm which can be used to identify the target...
Most control methods of soft manipulators are developed based on physical models derived from mathematical analysis or learning methods. However, due to internal nonlinearity and external uncertain disturbances, it is difficult to build an accurate model, further, these methods lack robustness and portability among different prototypes. In this work, we propose a model-free control method based on...
Soft manipulators have been a rising focus of soft robotics research. Taking advantage of soft materials and flexible, continuous movements, they have promising applicable prospect. However, their highly internal nonlinearity and unpredictable deformation caused by environmental effects make it difficult to build an exact model for control. In this work, we propose a generalized controller for soft...
In this paper, we provide a summary of recent progress on the research on conformal anisotropic metasurfaces and their applications in controlling the scattering, guidance, and radiation of electromagnetic waves. Specifically, several illustrative examples of microwave applications are presented, including coatings for scattering signature manipulation, coatings for dielectric chiral waveguides with...
Based on the classical FP-growth algorithm about frequent itemsets mining, this paper proposes a more efficient non-recursive FPNR-growth algorithm and corresponding data structure. The experimental results show that the FPNR-growth algorithm is superior to the FP-growth algorithm, both in mining time and in storage space.
In this paper, RCS reduction as well as gain enhancement for a slot antenna array is presented. The proposed antenna is a 2×2 slot array with a checkerboard surface located on the top of the antenna aperture. The checkerboard surface, combining an EBG structure and a metallic grounded slab, is adopted to realize a wideband RCS reduction. The experimental result reveals that the proposed antenna array...
In this paper, we discuss the limitations of phased arrays for 5G massive MIMO systems. The multibeam radiation patterns produced by a full phased array, a phased array with fixed sub-arrays, and a phased array with segmented phased sub-arrays are compared via illustrative examples. In fact, conventional phased array can only improve the link gain or the coverage, but couldn't enhance the capacity...
New concepts for hardware security and 3D packaging/alignment are presented. The autonomous nano-structures can be inserted in any unused spaces on the silicon wafer or other medium, and can be divided on multiple layers for security, authentication, key function, and process control.
In this paper, we report the analysis, design, and experimental validation of a conformal coating approach for achieving a highly-confined mode in a dielectric waveguide with a low dielectric constant. By controlling the surface electromagnetic response of the anisotropic impedance surface, it is shown that the original loose confinement of the guided mode of the dielectric waveguide can be dramatically...
Understanding the camera wearers activity is central to egocentric vision, yet one key facet of that activity is inherently invisible to the camera—the wearers body pose. Prior work focuses on estimating the pose of hands and arms when they come into view, but this 1) gives an incomplete view of the full body posture, and 2) prevents any pose estimate at all in many frames, since the hands...
Todays person detection methods work best when people are in common upright poses and appear reasonably well spaced out in the image. However, in many real images, thats not what people do. People often appear quite close to each other, e.g., with limbs linked or heads touching, and their poses are often not pedestrian-like. We propose an approach to detangle people in multi-person images. We formulate...
In this paper, we present a three-dimensional (3D) geometric channel model for vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication environments. We adopt a two-cylinder model to describe moving vehicles as well as semi-ellipsoid model to depict stationary roadside scenarios, where the received signal is constructed as a sum of the line-of-sight (LoS), single-, and double-bounced rays. Accordingly, the proposed...
Purchasing behavior analysis plays a crucial role in pricing, recommendation, and market strategy designing. One of the fundamental questions that arises in purchasing behavior analysis is to understand, characterize and estimate purchasing capability. In this article, we investigate the patterns of purchasing capability from the perspective of network usage of smartphone consumers based on a large-scale...
In this paper, we propose a new rate-distortion optimization (RDO) method for high efficient video coding (HEVC), based on texture and motion masking properties of video. Firstly, the texture perception factors of the coding tree units are defined by using the energy features of the gray level co-occurrence matrix (GLCM), and the motion regions are obtained by using robust orthogonal subspace learning...
