We propose an approach to achieving a carrier-envelope phase-locked frequency comb with 25-GHz mode spacing at 1.5 µm. We demonstrate octave-spanning supercontinuum generation with the widest mode spacing ever achieved using a CW laser diode.
In this paper, by using a periodically poled LiNbO3 (PPLN) ridge waveguide for the sum-frequency generation (SFG), a high conversion efficiency to 589 nm light is obtained solely with a simple single pass wavelength conversion process without using an enhancement cavity.
We demonstrate a carrier-envelope-offset-locked frequency comb with 500-pJ pulse energy, with increased coupling efficiency into a tellurite PCF by using angled-V-groove splicing. Carrier-envelope-offset stabilization at telecommunications wavelengths is achieved at the lowest pulse energy.
