This paper is concerned with the problem of fault diagnosis for a class of bilinear stochastic systems with unknown disturbances. At first, the filter with restricted structure is designed so that the unknown disturbances are decoupled from the residual and the effects of process and measurement noises to the residual are minimized. The filter design with general structure is also discussed. The chi-squared...
An adaptive actuator failure compensation scheme is developed for control of a class of nonlinear multi-input multioutput systems with redundant actuators subject to uncertain failures. A new feature of this adaptive control scheme is the adaptation of the failure pattern parameter estimates, together with that of the failure signal parameter estimates, for direct adaptive actuator failure compensation,...
This paper addresses the problem of robust fault estimation and fault tolerant control (FTC) for Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy systems. A fuzzy-augmented fault estimation observer (AFEO) design is proposed to achieve fault estimation of T-S models with actuator faults. Furthermore, based on the information of online fault estimation, an observer-based dynamic output feedback-fault tolerant controller...
This paper addresses actuator outages, or any actuator fault under the reconfiguration strategy. Based on the lattice structure of the set of system configurations, a frame that guarantees stability by mixing both the passive and active fault tolerance strategies is proposed. The proposed PACT designs a bank of controllers, with minimal number of control laws, and minimal instability during switching.
A new multichannel lattice filter is used to identify a multichannel ARMA model for a large flexible truss from experimental data. The numerical results demonstrate the fast convergence of the adaptive lattice filter, and illustrate the importance of using multiple measurement channels simultaneously in identifying flexible structures with repeated or nearly repeated frequencies.
