A novel 5.8 GHz band-notched wideband balanced bandpass filter (BPF) is proposed in this paper, which obtains favorable uniform differential-mode (DM) response and good common-mode suppression. The proposed differential-mode BPF is comprised of a four-stage branch-line structure with one pair of open-circuited stubs in the symmetrical plane. Two coupled SIRs are employed to generate one desired notched...
The design of multi-band bandpass filters (BPFs) employing stub loaded stepped-impedance resonator with defected microstrip structure (SL-SIR-DMS) is presented in this study for the first time. The proposed SL-SIR-DMS is created by embedding DMS on the low-impedance line of the SL-SIR. It is found that different defected structures can lead to different frequency responses. In addition, by using DMS,...
In this paper, a compact ultra-wideband (UWB) band-pass filter (BPF) with two steep rejected notch-bands is proposed. The designed UWB BPF is realized by cascading two interdigital hairpin resonator units with asymmetric open loading stubs and a spiral slot on microstrip line. The asymmetric loading stubs and spiral slot are studied and adopted to introduce notched bands. The lengths and the widths...
In this paper, a compact ultra-wideband (UWB) bandpass filter (BPF) is presented. The proposed filter is constructed with multiple-mode resonator (MMR) and novel dumbbell stubs. The MMR consists of three pairs of shunt dumbbell stubs and a high impedance microstrip line. By modifying the dimensions of the dumbbell stubs, the resonant modes of MMR are allocated in the UWB band with a wide and deep...
A novel low-pass filter (LPF) with sharp cutoff frequency response and wide rejection bandwidth is proposed in this paper. The proposed LPF is composed of microstrip coupled-line hairpin unit, semicircle defected ground structures (S-DGS) and semicircle stepped-impedance shunt stubs (S-SISS). Sharp roll-off skirt and good out-of-band rejections are achieved as demonstrated in both simulation and experiment.
