Recently, a permanent magnet type synchronous motor has been used widely for industry application. In the paper, we propose a novel self-start type permanent magnet synchronous motor with squirrel-cage. The motor is designed for high torque and high degree of efficiency. The motion characteristics are simulated. It is confirmed that the motor operates satisfactory from start to synchronous speed.
We constructed an ultra-low field nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR)/magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system utilizing a high-temperature superconductor (HTS) SQUID and permanent magnet for application of contaminant detection in food and drink. In order to compensate shortage of signal-to-noise ratio of the HTS-SQUID-based system, a pair permanent magnet of 1.1 T was employed for prepolarization field...
Wide use of permanent magnet synchronous motors produces a request for adding self-starting function to them. We propose a squirrel-cage rotor with permanent magnets for the self-starting synchronous motors. This paper shows the rotor configuration of a proposed motor and investigates the fundamental characteristics associated with the self-starting function.
Recently, permanent magnet type synchronous motor has been used widely for industry application. In the paper, we propose a novel self-start type permanent magnet synchronous motor with squirrel-cage and analyze the basic characteristics of the motor. We try to increase the efficiency by the rotor design with the finite element analysis.
