In this paper, an electrically small helical antenna with segmented sections and tapered parallel plate transmission line with a 1800 swap as feeding has been proposed and studied. Due to the unique property of segmented structure, the proposed helical antenna allows uniform current along the radiator. Simulated results show the proposed the helical antenna has good impedance matching, high radiation...
In this paper, an electrically small normal-mode helical antenna (NMHA) with capacitive coupling feed has been proposed and studied. An equivalent circuit model of the antenna is proposed and analyzed to understand the working mechanism. Simulated results show the proposed the NMHA has pretty good impedance matching, radiation efficiency and good circular polarization.
