The analysis and design of frequency selective surfaces (FSS) using commercial full wave finite element method (FEM) packages will be presented. Grating lobes phenomena can be easily visualised through the animated field option. The design and development of an improved FSS model using this commercial CAD package is presented and compared.
This paper will present the design and development of a single axis and a dual axis bow-tie antenna. For the single axis bow-tie antenna, a dual band performance is obtained with its maximum bandwidth of 22.8%. For the dual axis bow-tie antenna, good circular polarisation with axial ratio of less than 2dB is obtained from 1.4GHz to 2GHz. Improved methods to feed both antennas will be shown.
Non-transfer and transfer based 3D integration technologies are developed to achieve high-throughput and high-precision multichip-to-wafer stacking. Both the stacking approaches employ KGD self-assembly technologies using liquid surface tension. In the former stacking scheme, a large number of chips having CMP-treated plasma-TEOS SiO2 on their top surface are directly self-assembled in a face-down...
In this paper, a novel inorganic - organic composite electrolyte was prepared by using titania nanotube (TiNTs) as the filler in polyethylene glycol (PEG) for solid state dye sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). The DSSCs fabricated with optimized composite electrolyte, containing 10 wt% TiNTs in PEG, showed much improved conversion efficiency of 4.5% in comparison with DSSC fabricated with PEG-only electrolyte...
