Corn oil was oxidized in an atmosphere of oxygen in the cell of a Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC). From the outcoming heat flow curves obtained at different heating rates (P) the peak maximum temperatures were selected (T peak). From linear dependence lgβ = f(T⁻¹peak) the apparent activation energy and kinetic parameters for thermal-oxidative decomposition of oil were calculated.
Soybean (SBO) and sunflower (SFO) oils were oxidized in an atmosphere of oxygen in the cell of the Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC). The peak maximum temperatures on monitored differential heat flow curves were measured and used for the calculation of Arrhenius activation energy and kinetic parametres of the process.
Experiments with rapeseed oil using the differential scanning calorimeter have been carried out. From DSC traces obtained at different heating rates the peak maximum temperatures were selected and used for calculation of kinetic parameters and Arrhenius activation energy of thermal-oxidative decomposition of oil.
