The problem of eddy current generated by the gradient coil in superconducting MRI is discussed. A three-dimensional finite element model is set up to simulate the magnetic flux density generated by the eddy currents of the gradient coil in the patient region. A transversal gradient coil is designed and validated with the three-dimensional finite element method.
Magnetic bearings have been applied in aerospace, new energy, bioscience, industry fields for the advantages of no-friction, no-lubrication, high speed, high accuracy, long service life and so on. The three-pole radial-axial hybrid magnetic bearing (HMB) is proposed to reduce the axial length of the magnetic bearings [1]. As the axial length of shaft is reduced, the critical speed can be increased...
An integrated terahertz (THz) H-plane horn antenna made of an electromagnetic crystals (EMXT) straight waveguide feed and a gradually flared horn is investigated. The EMXT structure is composed of metallised periodic square rods with dimensions of 48×48×241××m (width×length×height). The THz horn antenna is simulated using the finite element method and fabricated by microelectromechanical systems technology...
