Open air experiments were conducted of surge current distribution in the lightning protection system, supplying cable and electrical installation of a test house equipped in household appliances. Surge currents were injected from the generator into the installation. Current distributions in elements of tested system were measured with multi-channel electro-optical system. To verify the experimental...
In this contribution we present the results of experimental studies of the pinch evolution on the PF-1000. The calibrated magnetic probes in different radial positions were correlated with neutron production and with interferometry images. The characteristics of probe measurement of azimutal magnetic field on the PF-1000 were published in [1]. The transformations of the pinched column during different...
Summary form only given. The plasma focus facilities are simple and effective sources of fast ions [1]. Visualization of the column at the time of ion acceleration was performed on the PF-1000 device operating in the IPPLM Warsaw at the deuterium filling at the current of 2 MA and the neutron yield above 10 [2]. The visible interferometry and time resolved x-ray and neutron detectors were used as...
Summary form only given. The plasma focus facilities are simple and effective sources of fast ions. At the usage of deuterium gas the fusion neurons from fusion D-D reactions are produced. The plasma produced in plasma focus facilities is convenient for interferometry diagnostics with impulse laser beam in visible wave range. We present the results of the diagnostics performed on the PF-1000 device...
Summary form given only. The plasma focus PF-1 (MX) device at IPPLM Warsaw is convenient for the study of mechanism of D-D reaction due to a relative high neutron yield and horizontal position of a discharge axis. Scintillation detectors could be placed at the distances between 7 and 85 m from the neutron source in both directions, i.e. upstream and downstream. This geometry gives unique opportunity...
An experimental device on the basis of one 3µF, 40nH, 50kV capacitor was build with the purpose of performing the investigations of plasma with Z ∼ 10 and choosing optimum conditions to achieve high efficiency of soft X-ray radiation. We have described the gas-puff Z-pinch experiment which was carried out using that device.
Using high current relativistic electron beams for pumping high power excimer lasers makes a lot of problems to be solved by scientist, problems connected with transport of REB in a mixture of pure gas with a small amount of agent containing fluorine. In this paper we investigate the problems of influence of admixtures SF6, on transport of REB current and on dynamics of plasma currents in argon.
Wherever the electron beam interacts with gas e.g. in gaseous lasers or plasma chemical reactors, currents and spatial charges induced in plasma play an important role in the course of processes. They decide about magnetic compensation and electrostatic fields, so they influence the electrons heating, development or suppression of instabilities and thus on the beam transport, additional ionization,...
We present a very simple set-up HIKE-M to produce REB, which consists of an air insulated Marx generator.a gly-oeryne insulated pulse forming line and a diode. A H ohm Blumlein line supplies the diode with 45 ns duration and 25 ns rise time pulse. With this arrangement we want to master RSB producing technique, to execute IGP experiment and to research phenomena occuring in the diode.
