We report on a pulsed bulk-fiber source producing a peak power of 100 kW at 100 kHz and an average power of 20 W. An SHG efficiency of 51% was obtained by a LBO crystal.
A high peak-power, high repetition rate MOPA system incorporating a Yb-doped fiber amplifier and its SHG were investigated in detail. The oscillator is actively Q-switch microchip laser at repetition rate of 50 kHz. The MOPA produces as much as 108 kW of peak power. The SHG conversion efficiency was 51%.
We report the single-shot observation of quasi-continuum high-harmonic spectrum with a harmonic energy of 10 nJ in the XUV region by using a two-color laser field. It indicates a possibility of generating single attosecond pulses.
We have observed ablation patterns on metal surfaces made by focusing high-order harmonics in the soft-X-ray region. The ablation processes are investigated from the intensity dependence.
