We propose an OFDM-WDM-PON using 16QAM-OFDM signals at 10Gb/s for downstream. At ONUs, downstream OFDM signals are used for signal re-modulation by RSOA, while we choose Time Division Multiple Access for upstream transmission. The performance of the proposed PON architecture has also been discussed.
We propose and experimentally demonstrate the first lightwave-centralized WDM-OFDM-PON using cost-effective directly modulated lasers (DML) to generate downstream OFDM QPSK signals at 10 Gb/s and provide upstream OOK signals using a remodulating scheme at 2.5 Gb/s.
We have proposed and experimentally demonstrated, for the first time, a novel WDM-OFDM-PON using centralized lightwave to provide downstream 16-QAM phase-modulated OFDM signals at 10 Gbit/s and upstream OOK at 1.75 Gbit/s.
We have proposed and experimentally demonstrated a novel architecture for orthogonal frequency-division- multiplexing (OFDM) wavelength-division-multiplexing passive optical network with centralized lightwave. In this architecture, 16 quadrature amplitude modulation intensity-modulated OFDM signals at 10 Gb/s are utilized for downstream transmission. A wavelength-reuse scheme is employed to carry...
