Ein künstlicher RNA‐Schalter wurde basierend auf einem Ligand‐RNA‐Paar ohne Einsatz molekularbiologischer Selektionsprozesse entworfen. Der Ligand stabilisiert stark und selektiv eine Doppelstrang‐RNA mit r(XGG)/r(XGG)‐Sequenz (X=U, A, G). Durch Einführung ligandbindender Sequenzen in die 5′‐nichttranslatierte Region von mRNA wurde der künstliche RNA‐Schalter erhalten, der auf Z‐NCTS reagiert.
