Significant reduction of the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) is an implementation challenge in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. One way to reduce PAPR is to apply a set of selected partial transmission sequence (PTS) to the transmit signals. However, PTS selection is a highly complex NP-hard problem and the computational complexity is very high when a large number of subcarriers...
Filter bank-based multicarrier (FBMC) has been considered as an attractive scheme alternative to the conventional OFDM with cyclic prefix (CP), especially in terms of the robustness against frequency offset and Doppler spread. However, due to the real-field orthogonality of FBMC signals, these classical OFDM channel estimation (CE) methods cannot be directly applied to FBMC systems. Focusing on existing...

Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is a leading technology in the field of broadband wireless communications. In OFDM systems, a high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) is a critical issue, which may cause a nonlinear distortion and reduce power efficiency. To reduce the PAPR, partial transmit sequences (PTS) technique can be applied to the transmit data. However, the phase factor sequence...
The paper analyses the IMD3 in power combining system. The relation between isolation of power splitter and IMD3 of system is revealed. Then, the simulation is operated in ADS with GaN FET CGH21240 of Cree Co., Ltd. According to the theory and simulation, the power of output would be higher and IMD3 of the system would be deteriorating, with the isolation of power splitter deteriorating. To approve...
In order to obtain high spectral efficiency and high-rate packet transmission, this paper has proposed a STBC-OFDM system to solve the problem of Multi-fading Channels for wideband wireless communication system. Considering the Frequency Selective Channels (FSC), the paper gives the many simulation results of BER based on SNR when the system adopted different number of receiving and transmitting antennas,...
In this paper, to compensate frequency offset and phase noise influence, several ICI self-cancellation methods are proposed, CPE, ICI and CIR are derived in MISO OFDM system. As results, by choosing several ICI self-cancellation methods appropriately, considerable performance improvement can be achieved in the MISO OFDM system which affected by frequency offset and phase noise.
The researches about conditions of the resource allocation algorithm in wireless communication have been done a lot recently. An evaluation model for the adaptive algorithm of MIMO-OFDM system is built in this paper. After formulating system efficiency under static and adaptive conditions, the effect of imperfect channel state information (CSI) to MIMO-OFDM system is analyzed. Analytical and numerical...
In this paper, frequency offset and phase noise influence and its compensation technique are discussed in the DFT-spread OFDM system. Simulation results show that DFT-spread OFDM introduces more interference than OFDM because of DFT spreading phase offset mismatch caused by frequency offset and random phase noise. Data conjugate ICI self-cancellation method is suggested to improve system performance.
