A novel technique based on the Field Mapping Algorithm (FMA) is proposed to gauge reflector surface smoothness from near-field reflector measurements. The proposed method provides exact information of the antenna surface with much less computation time compared with other available techniques. A few examples are given to illustrate the advantages of the new surface-analysis technique.
A new technique is presented for highly accurate far-field patterns obtained from spherical measurements in the near field of electrically large antennas. The proposed technique is based on the Field Mapping Algorithm, which provides exact fields on any desired surface from near-field data measured over a planar, cylindrical, or spherical surface. This method makes it possible to calculate complete...
We propose a unique microwave through-the-wall imaging technology for three-dimensional objects. The imaging technique is based on the Field Mapping Algorithm (FMA), which is a direct inversion method requiring neither optimization nor iterative procedures.
We propose a unique microwave through-the-wall imaging technology for three-dimensional objects. The imaging technique is based on the Field Mapping Algorithm (FMA), which is a single-frequency direct inversion method requiring neither optimization nor iterative procedures.
We introduce an efficient microwave imaging technique for medical applications, especially suited for breast cancer detection. The imaging system consists of a fixed source for transmit on one end, and a planar array of receiving sensors on the other, with the target placed in between. The image of the internal organ tissue under examination is thus obtained across a three-dimensional region, based...
It is shown that the image of electromagnetic waves in some entire region can be obtained and displayed in the same way a photo is produced by an optical camera. It also proved that the system along with the algorithm we proposed indeed does the job well.
