A 12-GHz (11.7 to 12.75 GHz) band satellite service with dual-circular polarization has been studied for transmission channels to deliver advanced broadcasting services such as 8K Super Hi-Vision in Japan. A right- and left-hand circularly polarized parabolic reflector antenna will make it possible to receive the services provided over the dual-circular polarization with a single reflector antenna...

Uncooled InP-Mach-Zehnder modulator monolithically integrated with SOA was demonstrated for 10.7 Gbit/s 1600 ps/nm transmission at C-band wavelengths. Output power was obtained over +3.2 dBm at 0-85°C with +2 dBm optical input by using SOA.
We propose a simple gain control scheme of SOA. The heater-mounted SOA exhibited a wide input power dynamic range of >17 dB while keeping high output power of +8.0 dBm for 10 Gbps NRZ modulated signals.
In this paper, we proposed a Folded type Rectangular Loop Antenna (FRLA) for one-seg. The measurement and simulation results indicated that the characteristics of the radiation patterns are similar to a rectangular loop antenna with full wavelength wire and resonates in the lower UHF band. The measured gain of the FRLA is -2.8dBi and the simulated gain is -2.2dBi. In the future, we will study configurations...
