The aim of this paper is to describe the results obtained on the radiation pattern scanning of a ferrite supported resonating CPW antenna based on metamaterial transmission lines approach. The scanning effect is obtained as an effect of remarkable properties of the ferrite substrate in the microwave frequencies domain when applying a biasing magnetic field. Data obtained by simulation with a suitable...
The second harmonic generation along the CRLH (Composite Right/Left-Handed) NLTLs (Non-Linear Transmission Lines) is analytically and numerically analysed. The nonlinearity of the structure is introduced by series connected Schottky-varactor diodes. The results show the possibility to use CRLH NLTL as broadband frequency doubler having high efficiency conversion for low number of diodes.
This paper presents the results in modeling, technological realization and measurements of a CPW (CoPlanar Waveguide) microwave zeroth-order resonating antenna based on CRLH (composite right/left-handed) transmission lines. The CRLH consists of series connected CPW interdigital capacitors and parallel connected CPW transmission lines. The studied device was fabricated on silicon substrate for a subsequent...
A coupled-line coupler based on two coupled artificial composite right/left-handed transmission lines (CRLH TLs) fabricated on high resistivity silicon substrate using coplanar waveguides (CPW) is designed, fabricated and on-wafer experimentally characterized. The CRLH TL consists of series CPW interdigital capacitors and parallel short-ended CPWs. For this four-port circuit, the on-wafer experimental...

The paper presents results obtained in modeling, technological fabrication and measurements for a CPW (coplanar waveguide) zeroth-order resonating antenna, based on CRLH TL (composite right/left-handed transmission line). The CRLH TL consists of cascaded cells of series CPW interdigital capacitors and parallel CPWs. The antenna was fabricated on silicon substrate. This was designed and analyzed using...
