For controlled or accidental releases involving natural or artificial radioactive materials into the environment, IRSN (Institut de Radioprotection et de SÛreté Nucléaire — French Institute for Radiological Protection and Nuclear Safety) has the particular duty to advise public authorities in their decision making, for the protection of the population and the environment. For effectively answering...
Effect of last barrier (LB) with different thicknesses and p-doping concentrations on efficiency improvement of blue InGaN/GaN multiple quantum well (MQW) light-emitting diodes (LEDs) is simulated by APSYS software. The simulation results show that thin LB has positive effect at low p-doping concentration while negative at high concentration and that p-doping is more effective for LEDs with thick...
A new heavy gauge boson, W′, decaying to a muon and a neutrino, is searched for in pp collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV. The data, collected with the CMS detector at the LHC, correspond to an integrated luminosity of 36 pb−1. No significant excess of events above the standard model expectation is found in the transverse mass distribution of the muon–neutrino system. Masses below 1.40...
A measurement of W+W− production in pp collisions at s=7 TeV and a search for the Higgs boson are reported. The W+W− candidates are selected in events with two leptons, either electrons or muons. The measurement is performed using LHC data recorded with the CMS detector, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 36 pb−1. The pp → W+W− cross section is measured to be 41.1±15.3(stat)±5.8(syst)±4...
In this paper, we study the effect of polarization on the performance of InGaN solar cells. By using the APSYS software, we show that device performance is adversely affected due to the interface charges near GaN contact layers and that alternate means of creating ohmic contacts should be considered.
The use of memory forensic techniques has the potential to enhance computer forensic investigations. The analysis of digital evidence is facing several key challenges; an increase in electronic devices, network connections and bandwidth, the use of anti-forensic technologies and the development of network centric applications and technologies has lead to less potential evidence stored on static media...
