We demonstrate a novel device; cascade high-speed laser power converter. Error-free 10 Gbit/sec data detection and 21.1% optical-to-electrical DC power generation efficiency can be achieved simultaneously at 850nm wavelength and +1V voltage.
This work demonstrated leukocyte count and two-part leukocyte differential from the whole blood based on a portable microflow cytometer system. Leukocytes are selectively stained with a fluorescent dye, Acridine Orange (AO). The blood sample is then pumped through a disposable microfluidic device for fluorescence sensing. Under blue LED excitation (460 nm), the green fluorescence from DNA and the...
In this work we concentrate on the delivery of the Er:YAG (2.94 am wavelength), Tm:YAG (2.01 alpham wavelength), and Tm:YAP (1.98 alpham wavelength) radiations and especially on the characterization of the beam spatial profile during the propagation through the waveguide. The flashlamp pumped Er:YAG, TmYAG, and diode pumped Tm:YAG, and Tm:YAP laser systems generating radiation in a free-running regime...
We have considered slab and rib waveguides for THz waves to improve the efficiency' for THz parametric conversion. We show that for a quasi-single-mode slab waveguide, periodic poling is no longer necessary for achieving phase matching.
