We experimentally demonstrate bandwidth efficient transmission of 96-IF carriers LTE-A signals with 118-Gb/s CPRI-equivalent rate using 2-GHz bandwidth and intermixing mitigation. After 20-km mobile fronthaul transmission, EVM is below 5% for entire IF carriers.
We investigate effects of second-order distortion induced by chirp and dispersion in multi-IFoF-based mobile fronthaul links. We optimize frequency plan avoiding distortion, and successfully transmit multiple LTE-A signals over 60-km SMF without any dispersion compensation.
