We observed the Coupled-resonator-induced transparency phenomenon in coupled fiber resonators. At the center of the induced transparency window, where 68% of the input pulse is transmitted, we got 20.3 ns group delay in coupled fiber resonators.
A sagnac-like interferometer is discussed. Its phase shift between the two counterpropagating light beams is realized by two outputs of a fiber-ring resonator. Calculation result shows this interferometer has an enhanced sensitivity.
In this paper, the authors demonstrated that the observation of ultra-slow group velocity and spectral holes by CPO in erbium-doped fiber at a room temperature. Operation of the reduction of light propagation at 1550 nm showed that the variable optical delay in fiber system could be applied to telecommunication system.
We investigated the variations of group velocity slowdown in high doped erbium fibers. From the model the group velocity slowdown is controlled obviously by changing erbium ion population of ground state. To validate the effect of ion population for slow light, we did experimental measurement using high-doped erbium fibers.
