We report the first demonstration of mechanically flexible quantum dot light-emitting-diodes (QD-LEDs) of all three RGB primary colors. The efficiencies of the flexible devices are high, suggesting the intrinsic flexibility of the QD-based optoelectronic devices.

Frequency up-converted lasing emission at visible wavelengths was observed from nanocrystal-infiltrated silica microbeads, which has been explained by the coupling of the two-photon pumped biexciton gain to the whispering gallery mode in a spherical microcavity.
With femtosecond-pulse excitation, two- and three-photon absorption induced ultraviolet lasing with spectral linewidth 0.2-1 nm have been realized under very low excitation threshold from ZnO nanorod arrays at both room and liquid nitrogen temperatures.
We report a bright and color-saturated blue light-emitting-diode based on colloidal core/shell-CdS/ZnS quantum-dots. Broad-band, long-wavelength emission from the deep-traps in QDs is, for the first time, minimized to less than 5% of the total emission.
Coupling of quantum dot photoluminescence from lead selenide colloidal nanocrystals into high-Q nanocavities supported by disordered photonic crystal waveguides in free-standing silicon membranes is observed.
We investigate the properties of charge separation and photo-carrier transport in P3HT/PbSe composites by employing ToF method under selective excitation conditions to study the ligand-effect on the photocarrier-trapping kinetics at the P3HT/PbSe interfaces.
We report in this paper our studies on the photoconductivity and photovoltaic effects of colloidal PbSe nanocrystal quantum dots (NQDs) which were embedded in conductive polymer matrices to form hybrid polymer/NQD infrared photodiodes. The generation of photocarriers in PbSe NQDs and their transport in NQD-polymer composites were described by a simplified band diagram picture of the device. Both photocurrent...
