This study proposes a multi-exciter method DC/DC converter topology in order to remove voltage unbalance from batteries. The proposed topology is characterized by a design in which all DC/DC convertor outputs the connected to modules converge into a single transformer. This paper attempts to analyze the dynamic properties of the proposed circuit using a Programmable Synthesizer Interface Module(PSIM),...
This paper introduces the photovoltaic (PV) simulator for the inverter of PV energy system. In order to embody the PV simulator, the conventional solar cell is numerically modeled based on the one-diode equivalent circuit. With the P-V relationships, we find the maximum and minimum power which is needed during the inverter performs the MPPT algorithm and design the parameter based on the maximum and...
This paper presents a new AC/DC converter scheme to achieve a high power factor operation. The new AC/DC converter consists of two 12-pulse bridge converters in series: the diode rectifier and the auxiliary converter. Compared with the conventional 12-pulse bridge converter, the proposed converter has distinct advantages of achieving high power factor operation and reducing the output voltage ripple.
The usual way to avoid a computer shutdown during a mains failure is to connect an ac uninterruptible power supply (UPS). Alternatively, in this paper, a simple and high efficiency dc UPS is presented by proposing an isolated bidirectional soft-switching dc-dc converter. The bidirectional dc-dc converter operates under zero-current switching (ZCS) condition by utilizing the leakage inductor of the...
A high efficiency photovoltaic (PV) module integrated converter (MIC) system is proposed. The proposed system consists of a high step-up DC-DC converter and a single-phase full-bridge inverter. The proposed step-up DC-DC converter has a high efficiency and low-profile. An input ripple current reduction control is suggested to reduce the low frequency ripple current generated by the full-bridge inverter...
A new high efficiency high step-up dc-dc converter is proposed for photovoltaic (PV) module integrated converter (MIC) systems. In the proposed converter, two transformers are utilized to double the voltage conversion ratio. Two resonant voltage doubler rectifiers are designed so that the output rectifying diodes are turned off at zero-current. A 260 W prototype was built and tested. Power efficiency...
