To recover alanine (Ala) from the secondary isoelectric-point crystallization mother liquor of glutamic acid, a new separation method using an emulsion liquid membrane (ELM) process is studied. The membrane phase consists of D2EHPA (di-2-ethylhexyl phosphoric acid), Span 80 (sorbitan monooleate), and kerosene acting as carrier, surfactant, and diluent, respectively. The appropriate extraction conditions...
We present a representation where holes are described as spinless fermions and the spin system as interacting bosons undergoing Bose-Einstein condensation to study the dynamics of a single hole in a two-dimensional quantum antiferromagnet within the self-consistent Born approximation. The advantage of this approach is that one can uniformly handle the t-J model and the t-t -J model.
