This paper is concerned with the sensor power management problem in remote state estimation. An optimization problem is first constructed which minimizes the weighted average sum of the estimation errors and the sensor power costs. Then a Markov decision process (MDP) based method is used to find out the optimal solution. Since the optimal solution cannot be analytically expressed, an approximation...
Traffic shifting is an efficient load balancing method to offload traffic from a hot-spot cell to neighbouring cells. This paper proposes a channel-aware optimised traffic shifting (COTS) scheme in LTE-Advanced relay networks. The COTS scheme employs a channel-aware assistant cell selection mechanism, which considers users' channel condition, received from the relay station (RS) in neighbouring cells,...
Generalized robust Chinese remainder theorem has been proposed to reconstruct one positive real number when all the moduli have a common factor and the remainders have errors. In this paper, we consider the generalized robust Chinese remainder theorem to reconstruct multiple numbers when all the moduli have a common factor and all residue sets have errors. We apply the newly proposed theorem to multiple...
Time delay estimation (TDE) plays an important role in multi-sensor signal processing. Its accuracy and precision are of critical significance. In this paper we propose a robust subsample time delay estimation approach which is based on an improved GCC PHAT algorithm and a sinc-fitted model. Computer simulations clearly demonstrate that this method achieves good results in noisy environments.
