Surface-plasmon enhanced microscopy has been investigated using blocked random nanodot arrays. J744 cells were imaged on blocked nanodot arrays under total internal reflection. The images were deconvolved based on localized near-field distribution for super-resolution. Experimentally achieved resolution is estimated to be 100-150 nm. Effects of signal-to-noise and registration on the reconstructed...
We explore the sensitivity enhancement of label-free detection based on localized surface plasmon resonance using surface-relief nanograting structures. A nanograting structure was modeled, so that target molecular interactions are localized in hot spots of the near fields. The nanograting structure was optimized numerically for the highest enhancement of sensitivity with hybridization between complementary...
The efficiency of drug release from polymeric nanoparticles was observed using real-time fluorescence microscopy. The movements of polymeric nanoparicles were controlled by magnetic force as fluorescence imaging of doxorubicin was performed during a 5-day period. This result may be applied to investigations of novel cancer therapy in future.
We conducted cell viability monitoring using a portable fluorescence optical detection system in situ and various types of imaging processing analyses. Results measured by the system on a microscale cell based assay in the short-term will be presented.
