In this paper, a circularly polarized antenna is proposed for satellite communication system. Commercially available Finite Integration Technique (FIT) based software Computer Simulation Technology (CST) microwave studio and finite element method solver based High Frequency Structural Simulator (HFSS) have been used in this analysis. The proposed antenna achieved 3dB axial ratio of 30 MHz with −10dB...
In this paper, a circularly polarized antenna is presented for small satellite communication. The proposed antenna is assimilated with an octagonal shape radiator with rectangular cut-outs on opposite edges. The proposed antenna is fed by a coaxial pin. The antenna shows measured −10dB impedance bandwidth of 610 MHz (7.07–7.68 GHz) with 3dB axial ratio (AR) bandwidth of 260 MHz (7.35–7.61 GHz).
