The aim of our work is to investigate the use of two powerful feature descriptor known as Zernike moments and histogram of oriented gradient (HOG) for facial images extracted from a video sequence uttered ten times by four speakers where MLP neural network classifier is used to identify the correct speaker. We've demonstrated good recognition rate obtained for both Zernike moments and HOG descriptors.
