This paper addresses the minimum network cost problem for survivable virtual optical network mapping in flexible bandwidth optical networks. We develop an ILP model and the LBSD (the largest bandwidth requirement (LB) of virtual links versus the shortest distance (SD)) mapping approach to minimize the network cost for a given set of VONs, and we introduce two baseline mapping approaches, named LCLC...
For large scale multi-domain elastic optical networks, we propose a combination of distributed and centralized control architecture (DC-CA) based on stateful hierarchical PCE. Experiment results are presented from DC-CA testbed and automated provisioning and recovery time of multi-fault are reported.
A perpendicular multi-layer (PML) architecture with multiple controllers and a dynamic orchestra plane (DOP) for multi-domain software defined optical networks is proposed in this paper. Cross-domain services with on-demand bandwidth can be deployed via unified interfaces provided by DOP. Practical capture of signal processing and emulation results are presented.
PCE is an emerging technology to aggregate path computation tasks in some certain elements. The location of these elements may influence network performance. In this paper, an ILP model for PCEs location problem is formulated and a heuristic algorithm is proposed. Simulations are conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the algorithm presented.
