In this paper, the coupling technique has been applied to realize a single feed CP square patch. Although single-feed CP patches exhibit smaller AR percentage bandwidths with respect to dual-feed CP antennas, their layout is more compact and then suitable for the implementation of electrically large arrays.
A dual-feed circular patch coupled to the microstrip feeding line through an annular slot has been used to realize a circularly polarized 2x2 array. Simulation results are compared with those for a 2x2 array composed of 4 dual-feed square patches coupled to the microstrip feeding line through a square ring slot. Simulations results for the two arrays both designed to operate in the WiMAX™ frequency...
In this paper a novel slot-coupling feeding technique is used to feed a circularly polarized patch antenna. The antenna is fed through two microstrip lines which are excited 90?? out-of-phase and coupled to a square patch by means of a square ring slot realized in the feeding network ground plane. Design procedure and simulation results are shown for a 2??2 array working in the WiMax 3.3-3.8 GHz frequency...
In this letter, a novel slot-coupling feeding technique has been adopted to realize a circularly polarized (CP) 2 ?? 2 microstrip array. Each array element is fed through two microstrip lines that are excited 90?? out of phase (dual-feed technique) and coupled to a square patch by means of a square-ring slot realized in the feeding network ground plane. Design procedure, simulation results, and measurement...
