Since time-varying and random components of channel response can be suppressed by using a passive time-reversal scheme, the scheme can efficiently decrease the clutter responses in a rich-clutter environment such as forest. Simulations are performed based on a realistic forest channel model to demonstrate the time-reversal scheme can be used to detect a target.
This paper provides a feasibility study regarding time-reversal detection scheme of a target inside a clutter environment. An experiment to obtain microwave imaging of target and fixed clutters is performed. For the time-varying environment, a numerical simulation is performed to detect the target based on the self-average characteristics of the time-reversal technique.
