A filtering-tolerant, offset RZ pulse shape for 128Gb/s PDM-QPSK was proposed for the first time. On a 25GHz grid, 0.8 and 0.2dB OSNR penalties at SD pre-FEC BER limit were experimentally and numerically demonstrated, respectively.
We demonstrate a four-wave-mixing-based wavelength converter suitable for coherent optical transmission at 100 Gb/s/λ and beyond that uses phase-diversity and nonconstant amplitude modulation formats. Our setup consists of 2 m of bismuth oxide-based nonlinear fiber and two copolarized external cavity pump lasers. We demonstrate wavelength conversion of 112-Gb/s polarization-multiplexed return-to-zero...
By using only C-band EDFAs, we have transmitted hybrid 10times112 and 10times44 Gb/s PolMux-QPSK signals in 25 GHz channel spacing over 1600-km SSMF employing digital coherent detection. The measured BER for all channels is smaller than 1.2times10-3.
By using PolMux-RZ-QPSK modulation format and digital coherent detection, we have demonstrated 20times112 Gbit/s DWDM transmission over 1540 km of SSMF without using Raman amplification or optical dispersion compensation.
