This paper proposes a resonant dc–dc converter as an option for offline applications. This topology can achieve zero-voltage switching from zero load to a full load and zero-current switching for output rectifiers and makes the implementation of a secondary rectifier easy. This paper also presents a novel methodology for designing resonant converters based on efficiency and holdup time requirements...
This paper describes a highly efficient, high power density converter generating 3.3VDC from a 390VDC input, for use in a proposed power distribution architecture with a reduced number of conversion stages, which increases system efficiency. Key design considerations, theoretical and experimental results are presented for the LLC resonant converter.
