We demonstrate Watt-level flat visible supercontinuum (SC) generation in photonic crystal fibers, which is directly pumped by broadband noise-like pulses from an Yb-doped all-fiber oscillator. The novel SC generator is featured with elegant all-fiber-integrated architecture, high spectral flatness and high efficiency. Wide optical spectrum spanning from 500 nm to 2300 nm with 1.02 W optical power...
We report on a new design for a passively mode-locked dumbbell-shaped fiber laser employing all normal dispersion fibers at 1 µm. The laser produced pulses of 18.8 nJ and 42.4 nJ from two output ports, at a repetition rate of 7.19 MHz. A narrow bandpass filter is inserted into the laser cavity to achieve the dissipative soliton resonance pulse generation.
An all-fiber ytterbium-doped laser widely tunable in duration and repetition rate is reported, which is actively mode locked based on a high speed in-cavity intensity modulator. The laser can generate a stable pulse train with a duration adjustable from 31 to 910 ps, and a repetition rate ranging from 13.12 MHz to 6.2 GHz (from the basic to the 475th-order harmonic) without changing the cavity construction...
We proposed a Upstream Multi-Wavelength Shared PON using a tunable self-seeding FP-LD at ONU. The fiber laser performances are experimentally investigated. The paper also for the first time studies the effect of channel switch latency on the DBA with the IPACT scheme.
