The thickness of zinc layer in the galvanization of reactive steel is a subject of concern to galvanizers. This work investigates the withdrawal speed as a factor that can reduce this layer. The results of this study showed that it can be significantly reduced if the sample being galvanized is withdrawn at around 4 m/min. This finding may have an important impact on the quality and cost of galvanization.
