A highly miniaturized antenna with electrical length 0.036λ0×0.044λ0×0.005λ0 was implemented based on the zeroth-order resonance metamaterial approach, in which the resonance frequency becomes independent of the physical length of the antenna. The simulated gain is −12.75dBi in the 960MHz frequency, and the experimental return loss is also shown. The design methodology is carefully presented.
