A generalized frequency converter has been realized which makes use of a cyclo-converter in newer form AC-AC converter. An attempt has been made to operate this converter both in a conventional low frequency AC-AC converter and a new high frequency AC-AC converter. The ability to directly affect the frequency conversion of power without any intermediate stage involving DC power is a huge advantage...
This Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) based digital controller has been developed to improve the output of the frequency converter using Hardware Description Language. An attempt has been made to analyze converters using three modulation techniques namely sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM), delta modulation (DM) and trapezoidal modulation (TM) to reduce the harmonics. It has been found that...
Stair-case modulation technique, generally applied in multilevel inverter is now applied in AC to AC converter for reducing harmonics in the output for both cyclo-inverters as well as for cyclo-converter mode. Simulation results are shown for single-phase to single-phase matrix converter configuration using SIMULINK software. A relation has been obtained between the carrier frequency and output frequency...
We introduce a new data set which contains both a self-declared friendship network and self-chosen attributes from a finite list defined by the social networking site. We propose Gaussian field harmonic functions (GFHF), a state-of-the-art graph transduction algorithm, as a novel way of testing the relevance of the friendship network for predicting individual attributes. We show that the underlying...
We use a tightly focused ultrashort laser pulse to produce a third harmonic signal from an air-dielectric interface containing gold nanorods. When the fundamental frequency is resonant with the longitudinal plasmon of the nanorods, the third harmonic signal can be enhanced by more than 3 orders of magnitude.
