Vie have proposed a novel phase and amplitude spectra measurement system, which was named as "Dual-Heterodyne Mixing Method." The experimental demonstration is presented by 12.5 Gbps BPSK signal detection by 1/63 low-speed detector circuits.
A direct chromatic dispersion measurement with dual-heterodyne mixing method (relative phase detection) is proposed. The sample dispersion can be measured as amount of compensation by monitoring relative phase, which enables direct measurement without wavelength sweeping.
