This paper demonstrates the coexistence of next generation PON (NG-PON) systems with legacy PON systems for CHT's network by commercial coexistence element (CEx). Because there are GPON and EPON in CHT's network, we will show the impact to legacy PON systems by using this commercial CEx and how we modify it.
We investigated the WDM-PON based on injection-locked FP-LDs and trial test was conducted in Chunghwa Telecommunication Laboratories. To demonstrate 1 Gb/s transmission, we design a multi-channel HD video transfer player system to perform the network traffic stress test.
In this paper we described the pilot trial of colorless WDM PON which has been developed in Chunghwa Telecom Telecommunication Laboratories. We demonstrated to access triple-play services via 1 Gbps per user.
We simulate the injection-locking performance of a 1% antireflection coated Fabry-Perot laser amplifier (AR-FPLA) and demonstrate the 2.5-Gbit/s DWDM-PON application with the directly modulated AR-FPLA based ONU transmitter under side-mode injection-locking condition. The effect of the AR-FPLA front-facet reflectivity on the injection locking range detuning and the Q-factor are interpreted from theoretical...
We demonstrate dual low-facet-reflectivity FPLD amplitude squeezers to suppress extinction ratio of down-stream signal by 8.6 dB for injection-locking RSOA in DWDM-PON with error-free 1.25 Gbps up-stream transmission at receiving power of -25.5 dBm.
AWG channel bandwidth dependent BER power penalty of 8 dB is demonstrated for the 1.25 Gbit/s DWDM-PON systems with channel spacing of 50 and 200 GHz using ASE injection-locked reflective SOA with 1% front-facet reflectance.
