This paper focus on the routing, modulation level and spectrum allocation (RMLSA) problem in the next generation datacentre networks, which own the advantages of both Elastic Optical Networks (EON) and Software Defined Networking (SDN). We proposes an Integer Linear Programming (ILP) model for this problem. Simulation results show the ILP model achieves an outstanding load balancing performance.
As the survivable mapping is critical in IP-over-wavelength-division-multiplexing (WDM) network to guarantee the restorability of IP layer, provisioning survivability in network with dynamic traffic is essential. However, survivable mapping problem for dynamic traffic shows more complexity than that for static traffic: 1) How to guarantee a survivable mapping since the lightpath is established and...
Generalized Multi-Protocol Label Switching (GMPLS) based optical networks are viewed as a promising network infrastructure for the next generation network (NGN) development. By pre-configuring the resources of dynamic optical networks, we can reconstruct the physical topology, thus increase the number of direct routes between potentially heavily loaded physical node pairs and optimize the performance...
The hierarchical routing and wavelength assignment problem in Automatic Switched Optical Network (ASON) is researched. Based on our analysis, three adaptive algorithms called MLLR (Multi-Layer Least Loaded Routing Algorithm), WMLCR (Wavelength-graph-based Multi-Layer Least Congestion Routing Algorithm) and BMR (Backtracking-based Multi-Layer Routing Algorithm) are proposed. A platform named AHORSP...
Transport MPLS (T-MPLS) is regarded as one of the most important transport technologies in the next generation network (NGN). It is a connection-oriented packet transport technology that developed from MPLS techniques and now defined by ITU-T SG13 & SG15. In this paper, we analyze the architecture of the T-MPLS networks. Also the most important building blocks for the modular design of the common...
As most of the carriers have extended their circuit transport networks with packet transport capabilities due to the inefficient transport network architecture, the controlling manner developed silently. Multiple service transport platform is the newly proposed packet based transport technology and the standardization process is very fast. GMPLS is considered to be the future controlling technologies...
The hierarchical routing infrastructure in automatic switched optical network (ASON) is researched. Three operational algorithms MLLR (multi-layer least loaded routing algorithm), MLCR (multi-layer least congestion routing algorithm) and MROB (multi-layer routing algorithm based on backtracking) are proposed. In these algorithms, the resource coordination and balancing of multi-domain and multilayer...
