Polygonal airflow pattern between disks in HDD was investigated by fluid simulation and pressure measurement. This pattern was found in radial velocity distribution of airflow on mid-plane between disks. Several peaks of pressure increase caused by rotating polygonal-airflow pattern with several modes were observed by a pressure sensor set on the tip of carriage arm.
