We propose a method to support handover between heterogeneous access technologies for multiple interface (MIF) mobile node (MN) in the Proxy Mobile IPv6 (PMIPv6) domain. We analyze the reduction of handover signaling cost in the proposed MAT method.
In this paper, we propose a method to support handover between heterogeneous access technologies to multiple interface mobile node in the PMIPv6 (Proxy Mobile IPv6) domain. PMIPv6 enables network-based mobility for a regular IPv6 mobile IPv6 with no mobility management protocol. But, there have been some issues identified with supporting a host with multiple interfaces attaching to the PMIPv6 domain...
This paper proposes a new mobility management (MM) scheme for seamless service in IP-based Next Generation Network (NGN). The proposed scheme supports local mobility as well as global mobility, which overcomes problems from existing schemes, such as PMIPv6 or just MIPv6. This paper verifies that the proposed scheme has lower handover latency time than the others by using numerical analysis.
The hybrid networks of WLAN and WMAN can provide high data rate and enhanced multimedia services, but there are many challenges to obtain handover decision based dynamic QoS information. IEEE 802.21 aims at providing a framework that defines media independent handover (MIH) mechanism that supports seamless handover across hetero geneous networks. In this paper, we propose a new approach network selection...
Recently, along with the proliferatin of mobile devices connected through Internet, a secure and practical mobile IP implementation became an important issue. A mobile IP can not work properly without authentication between the mobile node (MN), the home agent (HA) and the foreign agent (FA). In this paper, we propose a practical mobile IP authentication protocol with public key cryptography only...
