We propose a ranging method for λ-tunable WDM/TDM-PONs enabling dynamic wavelength and bandwidth allocation with accurate round-trip times without re-ranging regardless of changes in wavelength assignment. Its effect on upstream bandwidth allocation is theoretically evaluated.
Multi-operand adders usually consist of compression trees which reduce the number of operands per a bit to two, and a carry-propagate adder for the two operands in ASIC implementation. The former part is usually realized using full adders or (3;2) counters like Wallace-trees in ASIC, while adder trees or dedicated hardware are used in FPGA. In this paper, an approach to realize compression trees on...
In this paper, we present 10-Gbit/s wireless data transmission with FEC that is used for optical fiber data transmission. We evaluated the gains of coding by using a back-to-back data transmission system and compared them with those in outdoor data transmission experiments.
Nano-size magnetic magnetide is considered important for various medical applications. Dynamic motion of the magnetic particle is investigated in two essential models from a theoretical point of view. One is a drag model of the magnetic particle in an artery. The second is a pull model towards the surface of artery. Threshold conditions of external variables are obtained by dimensional analysis. On...
